Behaviour Consultations

Behaviour consultations may be needed if you are experiencing problematic or unwanted behaviours with your dog.

Behaviour problems are often caused by several factors and so require more in-depth investigation to identify the underlying issues, which a consultation can provide.

  • Initial phone call

An initial phone call to briefly discuss your case and confirm how the consultation process will work.

  • Owner questionnaire

You will then receive a pre-consultation questionnaire that needs to be completed at least one week prior to the first consultation, at this time a 50% deposit is also required.
  • Vet check and referral

Alongside this, please seek a veterinary health check and ask your vet to complete the referral form as I also require this before carrying out the consultation.

  • First consultation

Depending on the case, the first consultation typically lasts around 2 hours, but may be shorter if appropriate.

  • History and expectations

During the consultation, we will discuss your dogs daily routine and their history, the expectations that you have of your dog and what you would like the outcomes to be

  • Understanding behaviours

I will help you to understand why your dog is displaying the unwanted behaviours and how you can improve and modify them

  • Follow-up report

After the first consultation, I will provide a follow-up behavioural report outlining the diagnosis of problem and the way in which the displayed behaviours can be modified

Why don't I offer packages?

Frequently, a dogs behaviour will come on leaps and bounds following the initial consultation, which is why I do not offer 'packages' as I feel owners often prefer flexibility, both financially and in the service that they are engaging with.

Equally, owners may also like further in-person support sessions, which are also available.
